If Your Stomach Has Been Off…
If your stomach has been off… bloated, noisy, just not right… this is the soothing digestion tea I make. Y’all know I’ve dealt with my fair share of gut issues, so I’m always looking for simple, natural ways to support my gut. When my stomach starts feeling inflamed or irritated, I’ll make a stronger pot of this and sip on it.
If it’s just feeling a little off, I’ll do a quick cup and it usually settles things down. It’s just a handful of herbs I keep on hand and reach for when I need them.

What This Tea Helps With
This digestive tea is something I use for:
- Bloating
- Gas
- Occasional stomach discomfort
- That heavy, sluggish feeling after eating
It’s simple, but it’s one of those small habits that can make a big difference.
The Base Herbs
- Peppermint – helps relax the digestive tract and ease gas and bloating
- Chamomile – calming and soothing for the stomach
- Marshmallow Root – coats and supports the gut lining
- Ginger (optional) – helps move digestion along and reduces that heavy feeling
OPTIONAL ADD-INS
I keep a variety of herbs on hand and tend to change this up depending on how I’m feeling.
You don’t need all of these though. The base recipe works great on its own. These are just a few I’ll rotate in when needed:
- Calendula – gentle and soothing if things feel irritated, helps calm and support the digestive lining
- Fennel Seed – one of the best for bloating and gas, helps relieve that tight, full feeling and supports smoother digestion
- Lemon Balm – great when stress is affecting your digestion, helps calm the nervous system and ease tension in the gut
- Dandelion Root – supports bile flow and digestion, especially helpful after heavier meals or when things feel slow and sluggish
- Licorice Root – very soothing to the gut lining, helps support and protect the digestive tract (use in moderation and avoid if you have high blood pressure)

How I Use It
I usually make the full teapot in the evening and just sip on it slowly. If I’ve eaten something heavier or my stomach feels irritated, this is the first thing I reach for. It’s simple, but it’s one of those things that just works.
What I Use
These are just the herbs and a few simple things I keep on hand to make this.I put everything in one place so it’s easy if you want to keep this stocked at home too.

A Quick Note
Always start slow when introducing new herbs and pay attention to how your body responds. If you’re pregnant, nursing, or on medication, it’s always a good idea to check with your doctor first.
